World Hindi Day celebrations held in Singapore

World Hindi Day of 2022 on 10th January was something special with Hindi lovers from Singapore and other countries celebrating world Hindi day with full classical songs and music by virtually connecting Hindi departments and professors of universities from many countries. Academics from various countries including Singapore, Australia, Sweden, the UK, Uzbekistan, and Fiji joined the celebrations. The Chief Guest of the program was Shri Shivaji Tiwari, Head of Chancery, High Commission of India, Singapore. Shri Tiwari first read out the message given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the occasion of World Hindi day-2022. thereafter, he talked about various things on the topic 'the present form and possibilities of Hindi'. special guest of speakers was Australian national university. Peter Friedlander, a prof from Uppsala University, Sweden. Hines Werner Wessler, Dr. Richard Delsey from Harvard University, Prof. Tashkent state university of oriental studies. Ulfat Muhiboba and Manisha Ramrakha from the university of Fiji also delivered their respective speeches in Hindi. Professors of foreign universities told that a good number of people who speak Hindi have started increasing phenomenally in various countries. if this continues, Hindi can soon have the title of the language of the United Nations. Besides, several cultural programs were also presented by Singapore students on the occasion. A vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Sandhya Singh.
