Emergency Issue or Renewal

This service is available for issuance of a passport within three working days or earlier, based on nature of emergency, provided there is no bar against the applicant and bona fide urgency is established. Applications may be submitted through authorised service centre.

Emergency Issue of Passports for Renewal/Exhaustion of Passport Pages

The Application needs to be first registered online and then a print–out of the Application for Emergency Issue or Renewal of passport should be submitted in person at the High Commission, by booking an appointment online.

Tatkaal service is available for issuance of a passport within three working days or earlier, based on the nature of emergency, provided there is no bar/restriction against the applicant and bona fide urgency is established. Applications may be submitted through authorised service centre.

For an applicant who wishes to submit their application under TATKAAL scheme, he/she shall be required to submit 03 supporting documents (for minor applicant 02 supporting documents) from among those listed in the government’s gazette notification, in addition to the print-out of the registered application form. Passports Valid for Less than Six Months

Indian citizens travelling on Passports which may expire in less than six months should renew their passports, before any travel(except for Indian national traveling from Singapore to India), to avoid inconvenience at immigration check points.

Exhaustion of Passport Pages

Please check your passport to ensure that you have enough (at least two blank) pages for visa. There is no provision for attaching additional pages to your existing passport; you will be required to apply for re-issuance of your passport, following standard procedures.
