Power Of Attorney(Poa)  

Requirements

For Indian Nationals:

  1. Applicants must come in person.
  2. Original Passport and copy (photocopy of first and last page) must be submitted along with the application.
  3. Each page of the power of attorney document must be self-attested/signed and a photograph must be attached at the last page and it must be self-attested.
  4. Copy of self-attested power of attorney to be submitted along with the original.
  5. Personal particulars form (click here) to be filled in by the applicants.
  6. Two latest photographs; one to be pasted in personal particulars form and another on POA last page.
  7. Original and copy of IC (EP, PR, DP, WP, SPASS and Others).
  8. Processing time is 3 to 5 working days. Fee payable for POA is S$30 in cash only.

For Singaporean/Foreign Nationals:

  1. Applicants must come in person.
  2. Original and copy of Passport to be submitted along with application.
  3. Two recent passport size photographs required.
  4. Applicant's photograph must be affixed on the last page of the document duly notarized by a Singapore notary public.
  5. Original and a copy of self-attested notarized power of attorney to be submitted. 
  6. Personal particulars form (click here) to be filled in by the applicants.
  7. Original and copy of IC (EP, PR, DEP, WP, SPASS and Others).
  8. Processing time is 3 to 5 working days. Fee payable for POA is S$30 in cash only.

Important Note:

  1. For Singaporean and Foreign nationals: Non-Indian nationals requiring attestation of Power of Attorney executed by them may note the following requirements before applying at any of the collection centers.
  2. Please get the Power of Attorney notarized by a Notary Public along with Photo affixed. Details of notaries are available on https://www.sal.org.sg/
  3. Each page of Power of Attorney should be signed by the executor/applicant and stamped by Notary Public. Notary should also stamp on photograph.
  4. Documents that are not in English must be accompanied by an official English translation. The applicants can get their documents translated from recognized translators or any gazetted organizations like Commissioner of Oaths, Gujarati Society, DAV School etc. Please bring original and copies for attestation of the translated documents.
  5. In case the applicant is not an Indian national or the document is made in a country other than India, the document needs to be notarized by a public notary before submission with the authorized collection center.
  6. Please also note that the POA is required to be registered with the concerned Land Department of the State government within 3 months of its execution.

NOTE: For Emergency Services, apply directly at the High Commission of India with an additional emergency fee of S$100 in cashProcessing time is 2 working days.
