A Medical visa may be applied for by a person travelling to India for specialized medical treatment.

Attendant/family members of the patient may be granted Medical attendant visa which is co-terminus with the Medical visa of the patient.

Documents required:

• 1. For Medical Visa applicant needs to have a valid Medical Appointment Letter from a genuine hospital in India. Applicants are advised to get the Medical Invitation Letter from the hospital generated through ‘Medical and Ayush Visa Portal’ by using the URL https://indianfrro.gov.in/frro/medicalvaluetravelwhich needs to be submitted with the Visa application form. Medical Visa can be issued only after the issuance of pre-validation letter from the portal.

• 3. Formal appointment letter issued by the hospital.
• 4.  Proof of financial support for Medical treatment.
• 5.  Print out of the online application form duly signed.
• 6. One latest colour photograph with white background (size 2”x 2”).
• 7. Original passport with validity of at least 6 months (Minimum 2 blank pages should be available to stamp the visa).
• 8. Photocopy of passport bio-page and IC copy (NRIC, EP, S Pass or WP)
